Internship at the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, Brussels
The International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IF) created in 1979 is the world-wide umbrella organisation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus organizations. Today IF represents more than 20 European countries and has lots of contact with regional and national organizations in over 50 countries spread over five continents.
IF has consultative status special category with the Economic Council of the United Nations and participatory status Council of Europe and works on 4 main areas: Network Development, Prevention, Human Rights and International Solidarity. IF is looking for an intern for 4-6 months to support IF in various areas with a focus on communications.
Main responsibilities: Carry out a benchmarking analysis of web sites of associations working in the field of disabilities in order to help IF in its web-site re-organization and re-launch Monitoring and communication of European funding opportunities in the social and health care sectors Contribute to developing new communications instruments among IF and its members in order to share information in a top-down and bottom-up approach
Indispensable Degree in Communications, European affairs or social affairs. Fluent in English. Solid computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet). Proactive, efficient and motivated person, able to work independently. Good communication and writing skills. Knowledge of EU policies and legislation especially in the field of disability.
